Bio-Light: Optotech Patent Approved in U.S.

Optotech, a company held by the Bio-Light group, has received approval from the U.S. Patent Office for its first patent request.

The patent is registered and protected in the United States on the basic concept of the technology that Optotech has developed for the treatment of glaucoma. Optotech has filed requests for patent registration in other countries as well.

Last week, Bio-Light announced that it had decided to act on its option for the acquisition of 86 percent of Optotech shares for $200,000.
